Four suspected Boko Haram members were said to have been arrested on Saturday in Gwange ward, Maiduguri, the Borno State while they tried to get away wearing women’s clothing.
According to reports, women in the area have now been restricted  from going out in the evening following reports that the sect now resort to wearing women’s clothing to go out and perpetrate evil or try to escape arrest by soldiers and vigilante youths particularly in Gwange area of the city.
An anonymous resident of Gwange quoted by the Daily Post said the sect members are also wearing female clothing to hide their weapons in order to go and commit evil.
“They have been doing that for a long time according to one of them who was arrested last month in Gwange and since that time, so many of them have been arrested and handed over to the security,” he said.
According to the source, the four men arrested were wearing ‘hijabs’ and were beaten up by youth before they were handed over to the military for further interrogation.
