SAGINAW, MI — Lashon T. Hollman will spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering his neighbor last year by dropping a television on her head and stabbing her 54 times.
A jury of eight women and four men on Wednesday, March 27, deliberated for less than 15 minutes, officials said, before convicting Hollman of first-degree premeditated murder in the early Feb. 1 homicide of Cassandra Nelson.
The jurors also convicted Hollman, now 21, of felony murder, torture, and carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent in the 28-year-old Nelson's death. As Hollman, now dressed in his Saginaw County Jail orange jumpsuit, listened to the jury's verdict, he lowered his head and cried.
