When Magnum Ice Cream announced that they were creating a golden ice cream bar we didn’t think anything could top the luxury treat — that is, until designer Zac Posen, 32, teamed up with the brand to create his very first 24-karat gold dress!
The couture gown boasts over 10 thousand hand embroidered gold sequins in various sizes, which were ever so delicately hand created from sheets of 24k gold! “Creating my first-ever 24 karat-gold dress was a truly priceless experience. I’m naturally drawn to luxury and love to push my creativity, so the design process of creating a couture dress made of gold was thrilling. I pulled inspiration from MAGNUM Gold?! for the dress design…the train reminds me of melting ice cream. The dress is so decadent,” says the designer of his masterpiece. Sounds delicious…and gorgeous!
If you’re anything like us, we’ve been dying to know what a gown embellished with premium gold from head-to-toe is worth. Zac Posen’s creation is valued at $1.5 million! I guess we’ll just stick with the ice cream bar for now.
