Obama and Jonathan

The President of the United States, Barack Obama, will be visiting Nigeria on 28 May, 2013, as part of his three-nation tour of Africa.

According to diplomatic sources, Obama's visit will concentrate on most pressing bilateral issues like insecurity, economy and trade relations.

The issue on how best to deal with the Islamic terror group, Boko Haram will take the center stage, as Nigerian government is now favouring involving the United states of America's securities and hardwares, including the surveillance drone.

The need for the US involvement in tackling Boko haram activities is now more pressing as the Amnesty consideration may be muted as a result of the increased attacks by the Islamist terrorist.
