Their participation would have been scuttled, after the Super Eagles blatantly refused to board the plane after their World Cup qualifier against Namibia, over bonus row with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The Super Eagles missed their flight to Johannesburg, South Africa, where they would have connected to Sao Paulo,Brazil; which ultimately led to the disruption of their travel plans.
But after government’s intervention and also FIFA’s role in ensuring that the Super Eagles arrived in Brazil last night, and with the aid of the chartered flight that FIFA provided, they got to Belo Horizonte, around 3am on Sunday.
So, Nigeria will now play their first game of the competition on Monday against Oceanian champions, Tahiti
However, my worry now is that will late arrival of Super Eagles not affect their game on Monday? -->
